Origin
Angela was created by Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane and first appeared in Spawn #9 in 1993. Marvel acquired the character in a 2012 settlement and reintroduced her into the Marvel universe in Age of Ultron #10 in 2013, written by Brian Bendis. She was later retconned to be Aldrif Odinsdottir — Thor's lost older sister, born of Odin and Freyja, raised in the angelic realm of Heven after the war between Asgard and the angels.
Comic history
Her Marvel arc unfolded across Original Sin (2014), where her Asgardian heritage is revealed, and her two solo titles Angela: Asgard's Assassin and Angela: Queen of Hel. She has also been a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Asgardians of the Galaxy team. The character's defining tension is the divided loyalty between Heven and Asgard — she is a daughter of two warring realms.
Angela in Marvel Rivals
Angela is a 550 HP Vanguard and the game's first true flying tank. Her kit revolves around a stance switch: in flight she wields the Spear of Ichors for ranged impalements, and on the ground she swaps to the Axes of Ichors for berserker melee. Shielded Stance is the panic button — a directional damage block. The trade-off is that 550 HP is on the lower end for the role, so she leans more on positioning and stance management than on tanking through damage.
Abilities
Spear of Ichors is the airborne primary. Axes of Ichors is the grounded primary. Wingblade Ascent launches her into flight stance. Assassin's Charge is the gap-closer. Shielded Stance forms a directional barrier from her ichor. Heven's Retribution, her ultimate, plants a ribbon-bound spear in the ground that deals area damage and binds enemies in place.

Spotting Angela in Rivaldle
Angela's 550 HP is unique among Vanguards — no other tank shares it. Her 1993 origin year is also unique in the database. Her Asgardian species shares only with Thor, Hela, and Loki, so an Asgardian Vanguard must be Angela. In Pixelation Mode the long red hair and gold-and-blue color palette read clearly. In Emoji Mode the wing emoji is the strongest single hint.
Try the puzzle
Angela is a possible answer in every Rivaldle mode. The fastest way to spot her is usually a combination of two columns in Classic Mode plus a quick read of the silhouette or pixelation. Once you get a feel for the database fingerprints — the unique HP value, the unique origin year, the Asgardian-and-Vanguard intersection — most heroes can be solved in two or three guesses.
